Unpackaging Christianity

- JesusBranded's Latest Project -

Our aim is to continue to bring you the same thoughts, ideas, and designs you've come to know and love from JesusBranded, one t-shirt at a time. Through our new thesis, "Unpackaging Christianity", we hope to become people branded not necessarily by a denomination, a modern church, or a new social movement, but instead branded by Jesus and our unique and personal relationships with him. JesusBranded is simply two friends who had a desire to do something in their lives that blends both their talents and faith into one. Read more about the founders and their journey to make JesusBranded what it is here.

Unpackaging Christianity

What we're doing

JesusBranded aims to continually investigate the possible existing differences between Christianity as an organized religion and a personal relationship with Jesus. During the course of this honest examination of Christianity we hope to distinguish between the empty and the reverent if and where it can be found manifesting itself in this modern era of Christianity, and in doing so begin to emphasize the freedom and the life that's found within the individual expressions of a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ, however different they may be from one person to another. We desire to become more aware of the possible disfunction that may arise from simply accepting a secondhand version of someone else's relationship with God, while at the same time becoming more joyfully aware of God's unique design of the many different ways we understand Him. We hope to hit a balance between introducing fresh perspectives on truth and exposing possible misinterpretations so that we can move closer towards unwrapping Jesus from all the constraints man's limited understandings have covered him in. Through the effort of unpackaging Christianity, we hope to become people branded not necessarily by a denomination, a modern church, or a new social movement, but instead branded by Jesus and our unique and personal relationships with him.

Why we're doing it

JesusBranded is the joint effort of two people who have both seen and felt the very unfortunate consequences of people's misunderstandings about Christianity, but who have also witnessed the unbridled joy of being personally known by God. We have watched people we love decide to walk away from a church because of overpowering disagreements, but we've also proudly known friends who have stayed to love the people around them despite of those disagreements. As this pendelum between misunderstandings and revelations swing, we have decided that oftentimes conflicts arise simply from a lack of deeper examination about the truths we hold to and the ways we communicate and understand them. Our attempt is to carefully deconstruct these misunderstandings the best we can, and by shedding layers one by one, we can move closer towards clarity and away from preconceived barriers that keep us from a personal relationship with God and from understanding and accepting the nuances of one another.
